Peppol checker

Check whether a company is registered on the Peppol network for electronic invoicing

What is Peppol?

Peppol (Pan-European Public Procurement OnLine) is an international network for the electronic exchange of business documents. It lets companies send and receive invoices in a standardised format (UBL 2.1, EN 16931) automatically, without manual processing. More than 300,000 companies in Europe use Peppol.

Mandatory e-invoicing from 2027

The European Commission is preparing the ViDA legislation (VAT in the Digital Age), which introduces mandatory electronic invoicing for B2B transactions. In Slovakia, implementation is expected from 2027. Peppol is one of the main channels through which e-invoices will be sent. Get ready in time — registering on the Peppol network is free through efakturia.sk.

How does the check work?

The checker looks up the company's Company ID (IČO) in the Peppol SMP (Service Metadata Publisher) registry. If the company is registered, it has an active Peppol Access Point and can receive electronic invoices in UBL 2.1 format via the Peppol network. We support checking both Slovak (scheme 0158) and Czech (scheme 0116) Company IDs.
